By the end of the training course, the trainee will be able to:

- ✓ Create, edit, run and save a programme
- ✓ Create and edit tools and origin offsets
📋 Programme
Using CNC functions:
I-‘Machine’ functions:
- • Loading and selecting a part
- • Operating modes
- • Procedure for pausing and resuming a cycle
- • Manual mode.
II – ‘Machining parameters’ functions:
- • Original socket.
- • Tool settings
- • Default offset settings
- • Setting data
- • Tool correctors.
III – ‘Programme’ functions:
- • Simple modifications to a part programme
- • Manipulation of programmes
IV – ‘Services’ functions:
- • Loading a programme
- • Saving a programme
- • Programme editions
PRACTICAL WORK on the Siemens Sinumerik 840D / 840 CNC system
🛠️ Technical and teaching resources
- • Provision of a course handout or the manufacturer’s user manual for the machine
- • Training on a simulator (or equipment provided by the client, together with its user manual)
